I haven't had anything great to post lately. It's the daily grind that I can't get out of bed, I have no one waiting for me....
THIS WEEK my goal will be to hit EVERY work out Sandra posted on our calendar even if I have to do it all in one day.
I went to the gym today and ran 7.3 miles on the treadmill. Amber runs next to me and it actually went really fast. I followed Sandra's directions pretty closely but decided instead of a 1200 that I would do the last one a mile. I don't know how I calculated wrong in my head- but I was trying to beat Heath's 6:30 mile. I came in at 6:40. I knew as I got close to the end that I was off, but couldn't run fast enough to make up the difference. I don't really like to start off at the fastest past, I'd rather speed up as I go. I ran a 6:40 today.
Friday night I was in Springville at my in-laws house and got terrible sleep. I also had major stomach problems- which now I know was the stomach flu. I debated on texting Sandra that I wasn't going to make it- but I was really worried about not running 15 miles. I feel trained for a 1/2 marathon, but not a full.
So I went to her house. My stomach hurt the whole time and I felt like I was going to throw up or have the runs. I don't even want to know what the pace was. I finally called it at 10 miles and Shanon and Sandra ran on without me. The saddest part is that I didn't even feel like I could meet them at waffle love.
I couldn't eat most of the day and into Easter Sunday. I was pretty sick.
Today I feel so much better! It's a new day and I'm going to hit every workout this week. Tomorrow I am going to run the 10 miles I need to do. (Sandra has it on Wednesday) I figure I can run early with Sharayne at 5:30 and then finish what I don't do at the gym.
Wed I will swim & bike.
Thursday bike
Friday run 15 miles
Saturday swim at the hotel pool in vernal.
I'll let you know how it goes. Here's to a new start and hopefully getting in shape enough for the marathon.
